Beyond traditional cookies, we may also use related technologies such as:
- Local storage — browser storage used to remember in-app state like your editor layout preferences
- Session storage — temporary storage cleared automatically when you close your browser tab
- Pixels & beacons — we do not currently use tracking pixels from ad networks

Third-party cookies
ResumeKraft uses a small number of third-party services that may set their own cookies. We choose these providers carefully and bind them to data processing agreements.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any advertising network cookies. Our analytics are handled entirely by Plausible, which is GDPR-compliant and EU-hosted.
Retention periods
Cookies are kept only as long as necessary for their purpose. Here is a summary of retention periods by category:
- Session cookies — deleted automatically when you close your browser. Used for CSRF tokens and Plausible analytics.
- Short-lived cookies (up to 30 days) — used for authentication when you choose to stay signed in.
- Preference cookies (up to 1 year) — functional cookies that remember your settings across visits.
- Consent record (1 year) — stores your cookie consent choice so we don't prompt you repeatedly.
At expiry, cookies are automatically deleted by your browser. You can also delete them manually at any time via your browser's settings.
Policy updates
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our technology, legal obligations, or the cookies we use. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Show an in-app notice or re-prompt consent where required by law
- Send an email notification for significant changes that affect your rights
